This was the third year of the Competition’s West Coast edition, and the state of California took notice. The Contemporary Jewish Museum was honored with the State Superintendent’s Award for Excellence in Museum Education—for the EJK Bookmaking program!

The day was all about kids, families and books. The EJK Bookmaking Awards ceremony, hosted by the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco on March 15, was the high point of a fun-filled afternoon. The children were excited about their awards and posed with parents and friends, their books proudly displayed. And it didn’t end there: All the books can be viewed at the main San Francisco Public Library (100 Larkin Street, in the Children’s Center on the second floor), through May 8.
